Years ago, Bishop Callahan met Dr. Sylvester Alanwoko of Aba, Nigeria. This relationship grew, and Dr. Alanwoko later became the MMFI International Director for Nigeria. Bishop and Dr. Phyllis have worked for several years through PWMI to see MMFI established in Nigeria to help equip Christian leaders, to build churches, to drill fresh water wells, and to assist in acts of kindness to the people. Bishop Rick and Dr. Alanwoko have had the privilege of praying for kings and dignitaries and extending the blessings of God's kingdom throughout Nigeria. Bishop Rick ministers at the annual church leaders' and pastors' conference hosted by Dr. Alanwoko in the Emo state of Nigeria.
